BNP Vice Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu has said if the national parliamentary elections are held this year, all of the country's crises will be resolved.
The BNP has confidence in the interim government, he said while addressing as the chief guest at an organizational meeting of Rangpur metropolitan BNP at a community center in Rangpur city.
Shamsuzzaman said he believes the government will complete necessary reforms as quickly as possible, steer the country towards democracy, and establish people's rights.
He said some members of the interim government are like sons to them and are associated with the July uprising.
He emphasized resolving misunderstandings to form national unity. "Without unity, law and order, as well as the market system, will not normalize, and the crises will persist."
He also mentioned that BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, along with Tarique Rahman, who has been a key figure in the 16-year movement, has directed Bangladesh towards a new era of change and led the mass uprising.
Moving beyond group politics, a people's Bangladesh must be built, he said.
He said that organizational meetings are ongoing in different districts with this objective.
These meetings are of utmost importance, as they facilitate the formation of committees through an electoral process, making this initiative both joyful and significant, he added.
