Four people including two siblings died and three others were injured in a head-on collision between a pickup van and a CNG-run autorickshaw in the Paishka Bypass area of Nakla upazila in Sherpur on Wednesday.
The deceased were Subina Begum, 20, her younger brother Tajen Mia, 15, Tayera Begum, 10, and Alauddin, 40.
Nakla police station Officer-in-Charge Habibur Rahman confirmed the matter.
The injured are Umme Salma, 40, her daughter Tora Begum, 16, and Chabid, 3, son of Abul Kashem of Sahapur village in Phulpur.
They were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for treatment.
“Around noon, a pickup van and a CNG-run autorickshaw collided at the Paishka Bypass intersection. Tayera and Tazen died on the spot,” said the OC.
