Jannatul Ferdous Tamanna Priya, a leader of the recently banned organization Chhatra League, has been turned over to the police by students after being caught while sitting for an exam in Rajshahi.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon at Rajshahi Government Women's College, where students detained her and informed the police following a confrontation.
Priya was the environment secretary of the Rajshahi metropolitan Chhatra League.
The police later showed her arrested in an explosives case in which she is an accused.
Priya is a second-year degree student at Rajshahi College.
There are accusations against her of engaging in dorm seat trade and harassing students.
Regarding the arrest, Sabina Yasmin, additional deputy commissioner (media) of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police, said Priya was arrested in an explosives case filed with Boalia police station.
She will be sent to jail through court.
