Due to Cyclone Dana, the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has suspended launch services on various routes from Dhaka.
As a result of the cyclone, signal number 3 has been issued for the sea, while signal number 2 has been raised for river ports.
This information was conveyed in a press release issued by the Ministry of Shipping on Thursday.
The release stated that due to the impact of Cyclone Dana, launch services from Dhaka to Hatiya, Betua, Aishbagh, Rangabali, Char Montaz, and Khepupara have been suspended until further notice.
Additionally, the operation of single-engine vessels has also been halted.
