The Comilla Town Hall ground was packed with people even before the arrival of interim government adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan.
Students began gathering from Tuesday afternoon, with many from various schools, colleges, universities, and other educational institutions across the district flocking to the venue after hearing about his visit.
As they entered the Town Hall grounds in large numbers, the atmosphere grew lively, with students chanting slogans as they marched in.
Asif Mahmud, also a coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, is set to attend an exchange meeting aimed at rebuilding the nation and reforming it to be free of corruption, extortion, and terrorism.
The event commemorates those who lost their lives in the quota reform movement and the protests to overthrow the government.
