The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has seen a major reshuffle, with the transfer of several top officers, including two additional inspector generals of police (IGP).
The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday.
According to the notification, Additional IGP AKM Hafiz Akhter has been transferred to Industrial Police, Additional IGP Dr B Mohid Uddin to Tourist Police, and DMP Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Md Munibur Rahman has been attached to the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) headquarters.
Besides, five officials of supernumerary DIG rank, Faruk Ahmed, Md Israil Hawlader, Khondker Nazmul Hasan, Md Masud Karim and Md Shawkat Ali, have been transferred to the DMP as additional police commissioners.
