Miscreants on Wednesday fired bullets targeting trucks used for construction of border road in Thanchi upazila of Bandarban.
The incident took place at 3:30pm.
Wishing to anonymity, a labourer said that bricks were taken in four trucks for the construction of Thanchi Baklai border road.
After unloading the bricks, on the way back to Thanchi Sadar, seven armed terrorists with red cloth on their heads targeted the truck and suddenly fired seven bullets.
Although no one was injured, trucks were hit by bullets.
Md Jasim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Thanchi police station said that he also heard the news of terrorists firing at the trucks.
Legal action will be taken based on the complaint.
Earlier, some 78 people, arrested in the ongoing operation of joint forces in connection with the bank robbery, money-arms robbery and kidnapping of the bank manager, were sent to jail following orders of Bandarban court.
Also, out of 78 people arrested so far in this incident, 59 people were granted 2-day remand and 3 women have been allowed to be interrogated at the jail gate.
