Four people, including a woman, were killed in a head-on collision between a pickup van and a CNG-run autorickshaw in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased were Lutfar Rahman, Rahima Begum, Akash Mia and Nazmul Hossain.
Mirzapur police station Officer-in-Charge Rezaul Karim said the pickup van from Sakhipur reached the Telipara area of Bashtail upazila and collided head-on with the autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction.
Three passengers died on the spot, while another person was seriously injured.
Locals rescued the injured and took him to Kumudini Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, he added.
