Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan on Friday urged to ensure justice for everyone.
He said that it is a constitutional right for everyone in Bangladesh to get a speedy trial. And it is the moral duty of justices to ensure a speedy trial.
He made the comments as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of Nyaya Kunj (waiting room for litigants) at the premises of Bandarban District Judge Court.
The Public Works Department financed Tk51.5 lakh to complete the work of the waiting room.
Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan said: “Multi-storied buildings have been constructed in various places and inquiries are taking place by the session board in those buildings. Hopefully, there will be no more complications for the judges in the coming days when the construction of the buildings will be completed across the country. I hope that the crisis of judges will end soon.”
Former chief justice Hasan Foez Siddique took the initiative to set up Nyaya Kunj in court premises in 64 districts of the country after taking charge.
