The Ruma upazila administration has banned the use of motorcycles by tourists in the areas of Boga Lake and Keokradong to avoid road accidents.
This decision was taken in the presence of Ruma Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sayed Mahbubul Houqe at the monthly law and order meeting on Wednesday.
Due to road and bridge construction work on Keokradong road, motorbike movement has become dangerous. They requested everyone to discourage the tourists from travelling by motorbike to avoid fatal road accidents.
However, tourists are allowed to use motorbikes to come to Ruma Sadar from anywhere.
