Prime Minister's ICT Adviser and Centre for Research and Information (CRI) Chairperson, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, expressed his gratitude to the youths of Bangladesh as he presented the latest edition of the Joy Bangla Youth Award.
He mentioned that no one could have imagined the progress that has been made in the country in the last 15 years.
Joy distributed the prizes at the final round of the seventh edition of Joy Bangla Youth Awards at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Youth Development in Savar on Saturday.
A total of 12 organizations were awarded the Joy Bangla Youth Award in six categories.

Sombhabona and the Wreetu Health and Wellbeing Foundation won an award in skills and employment, the Ovinandan Foundation and Tonger Gaan in art and culture, the Nopom Foundation and the Altruistic People’s Youth Organisation in community well-being, the Woman’s Dreamer Cricket Academy and Valo Kajer Hotel in social inclusion, the Wildlife and Snake Rescue Team in Bangladesh and Eco-Network Global in climate and environment, and Clear Concept and Team Atlas in innovation and communication.
The biggest youth platform, Young Bangla, has been hosting the Joy Bangla Youth Award since 2015.
“I am grateful to the youth of Bangladesh, and to you. There are many questions, and Bangladesh has many hardships. But what I'm proud of is that you (youth) don't worry about problems. You are thinking of solutions,” he added.
The prime minister's ICT adviser said that the youth of this country are not just sitting around; they are finding solutions and implementing them.
“I have been telling the youth of Bangladesh from the beginning that we are standing on our own feet as a country. The youth of Bangladesh can also stand on their own feet. You can find your own employment through your own initiatives,” he added.
Sajeeb Wazed Joy, grandson of Bangabandhu, handed over the Joy Bangla Youth Award to the winners. Radwan Mujib Siddiq, another grandson of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was also present on the occasion.
