She was allegedly beaten to death by her brothers-in-law

A 35-year-old woman was beaten to death allegedly by her brothers-in-law over a land dispute at Gobargara in Daulatpur upazila of Kushtia district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Nazma Akter, wife of Gias Uddin of the village.
Quoting locals, SK Zabid Hasan, officer-in-charge of Daulatpur police station, said Gias Uddin locked into an altercation with his two younger brothers, Shaheen and Tuhin, over the ownership of a piece of land.
At one stage, Shaheen and Tuhin beat Nazma with a bamboo mercilessly, leaving her dead on the spot.
Upon receiving the information, police recovered the body but could not arrest anyone as the two brothers went into hiding.
