Motorcyclist killed after crashing into tractor in Barguna

A motorcyclist died in Barguna after hitting a parked tractor-trailer on Friday, said police.
The incident was reported around 7pm at a local village market in the southern district’s Patharghata upazila. The pillion rider sustained minor injuries.
The deceased has been identified as Shohag, a resident of Nachnapara union of the upazila, said OC Abul Bashar of the Patharghata police station.
“The body has been kept at the Barguna Sadar Hospital for an autopsy,” he said.
Locals said that soon after Shohag reached the Bashtala Bazar, he crashed into a parked tractor-trailer.
Shohag and the pillion, identified as Mohammad Asadul, were rushed to a local doctor where Shohag was declared dead, according to witness Abdur Rashid.
Asadul sustained minor injuries and was given first aid, he said.
