As many as 281 diarrhoea patients were hospitalized in 24 hours in Chittagong on Wednesday.
Sources at the District Civil Surgeon office said in the last 24 hours, 281 people have been admitted for treatment due to diarrhoea in health complexes of 14 upazilas.
Of them, 21 admitted in Mirsarai, 7 in Sitakunda, 3 in Sandwip, 15 in Fatikchari, 6 in Hathazari, 11 in Raujan, 10 in Rangunia, 41 in Boalkhali, 29 in Anwara, 22 in Banshkhali, 37 in Chandnaish, 14 in Satkania and 24 in Lohagara.
District Civil Surgeon Dr Mohammad Iliach Chowdhury said: "Diarrhoea patients are being treated at upazila health complexes. Around 284 medical teams have been formed at the upazila level. Most of the patients recover in a day."
