Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), a legal aid and human rights organization, has condemned the attack on Syeda Rizwana Hasan, chief executive officer of Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA), and her team in Chittagong on Thursday.

On Thursday, Syeda Rizwana Hasan and her team were attacked and harassed while vising a site in the Lake City residential area of Chittagong.
The incident took place near the Shupari Bagar area of the port city.
The attack was allegedly carried out by Chittagong City Corporation Ward 9 Councillor Jahurul Alam Jashim.
Aliur Rahman, an environment journalist claimed that during the visit, Chittagong City Corporation Ward 9 Councillor Jahurul Alam Jashim's men, armed with knives and other sharp weapons, forcefully took their vehicle.
The men also allegedly threw bricks at the car.
In the written complaint filed on Thursday, Syeda Rizwana Hasan named several individuals who carried out the attack on her team.
They are -- Md Hridoy, Abu Noman, Saifuddin Bhuiyan, Anis Chowdhury Rajon and others.
She mentioned that the men continuously asked them why they were visiting the site before attacking them.
