Dhaka TribuneHe also said that with the cooperation of all, several levels of security measures have been taken to ensure that the Ijtema is completed smoothly and beautifully.
“Intelligence agencies help us with information all the time. Law enforcement is working in uniform and plain clothes. There is also CCTV to monitor the ground,” he added.
He added: “We have identified some pickpockets from the Ijtema of the first phase through the CCTV footage. This time we will work harder to avoid such incidents.”
Regarding Bangladesh's relationship with Israel not being good, some Muslims from that country are coming to this year's Ijtema, he said: “Israel has 15-20% Muslims. Should we not allow them in if they want to come close to Allah? The government must have thought about it and allowed them to come.”
