Rail Communication on Mymensingh-Netrakona –Chittagong route resumed on Sunday morning after three hours of suspension following derailment of a freight train in Balashpur in Mymensingh city on Sunday morning.
The incident was reported at around 8am from the city's Balashpur area, reports Bangla Tribune.
“A Mymensingh Express train's compartment derailed at around 8am near Balashpur area. No injuries were reported from the incident,” said Mymensingh railway GRP station Officer-In-Charge (OC) Mohiuddin Ahmed.
He added that a rescue train was brought to the spot and salvaged the derailed wagon.
