Minister of Agriculture Dr Abdur Razzak visited various agricultural farms in Chuadanga and Meherpur on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Meanwhile, he also visited the Friends Agro Planet organized by his SSC ‘96 batch friends of Chuadanga.
Merina Zaman Momy, a member of Friends Agro Planet and recipient of this year's best farmer medal, welcomed him with a bouquet of flowers.
On this occasion, along with the agriculture minister, the secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, the director general of the Directorate of Agriculture, and the deputy commissioner were present.
After spending a considerable amount of time there, the agriculture minister gave the Friends Agro Farms high praise. He appealed to all to come forward towards agriculture by educated youth like Friends Agro Planet. He also planted a sapling at Friends Agro Planet.
At this time Manjurul, Saikat and Akash of Friends Agro Planet assisted the minister.
Later, the minister spoke at a farmers' rally held in the neighbourhood's Meherunnessa Park and paid visits to Jibonnagar's Bhai Bhai Krishi Farm and Sarojganj's Janata Engineering.
