In a daring move, a black belt young boxer woman chased and caught a mugger after her mobile phone was snatched away through a train window in a station on her way to Dhaka from Mymensingh.
Instantly, this courageous action of the young woman caught everyone's attention.
The incident took place on Tuesday morning as soon as the train stopped at Mymensingh station.
The young woman, Laboni Akhtar was on her way to Dhaka by train to play at the national level.
Laboni Akhter said that he bought the new phone the night before.
On the way to Dhaka, when she took out her new mobile from her bag for watching a drama, the snatcher took away the phone through the window.
At this point, Laboni also jumped out of the window and started chasing the mugger.
Eyewitnesses said that after running a long way, the robber went to a place and sat down thinking that she lost him.
However, when the mugger saw that Laboni was still chasing him, he hid the mobile in the dirt and ran again.
While he was trying to top a boundary, the young woman pulled him down by his leg. After that he was taken from there and brought back to the place where he was sitting.
Later, she recovered her mobile phone.
Laboni Akhter, a resident of Mymensingh, said that she has been practicing boxing for 4 years and 10 months.
“I am a black belt holder, now going to Dhaka to play at national level,” she added.
