Fourteen invigilators have been expelled for carrying mobile phones in the examination halls during the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Dakhil examinations in Chittagong.
The incident took place in two centres of Lohagara upazila on Saturday.
The centres are- Amirabad Sufia Alia Madrasa and Dakhshin Satkania Golam Bari Govt Model High School.
The exams for three subjects – Physics, Finance and Banking and English 1st paper – were held under Chittagong Education Board and Madrasa Board respectively on Saturday.
Executive Magistrate and Lohagara upazila nirbahi officer Sharif Ullah visited the centres during the exams.
He said that the teachers were expelled from performing the duties as they were carrying mobile phones in the centres.
Carrying phones during examinations in the centre is not allowed, he added.
