A case has been filed against three drivers in connection with the deaths of four people in a road accident in Mirsharai upazila of Chittagong district.
ATSI Saiful Islam of Zorargonj Highway police station filed the case on Thursday night, said Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of the police station.
He said that three drivers of Jonaki Paribahan bus, a covered van, and a lorry have been charged in the incident.
The plaintiff in the case, ATSI Saiful Islam, said the tragic accident was caused by the mistake of the three accused drivers.
Legal action will be taken against them after an investigation, he added.
On Wednesday, four people were killed and five injured after a truck collided with a bus on Dhaka-Chittagong highway.
The incident took place at Sonapahar filling station area of Mirsarai upazila around 10:30pm.
OC AKM Sarfuddin, the officer-in-charge (OC) of the Zorarganj Highway police station, told Dhaka Tribune that all of the deceased were pedestrians.
