Three committees have been formed to investigate the fire at BM Container Deport in Sitakunda in Chittagong.
The Directorate of Fire Service and Civil Defence formed a seven-member probe body to ascertain the cause of the fire and the extent of damages.
The committee has been asked to submit its report within five working days.
Meanwhile, the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments also formed a three-member committee to probe the incident.

Headed by Shipon Chowdhury, assistant director general of the department, the other members of the committee are—Shubhankar Datta, labour inspector (health) and Shamim Hossain, labour inspector (security).

The Chittagong district administration also formed a nine-member committee to probe the fire.
The Local Government Division Deputy Director Badiul Alam will act as the convener of the committee.
Chittagong Deputy Commissioner Mominur Rahman confirmed the matter in an official order on Sunday.

The committee has been asked to probe the extent of damages and provide recommendations on how similar incidents can be avoided in the future.
The fire, which broke out at the depot late on Saturday, has so far killed 43 people and injured over 450.
