A readymade garment factory caught fire at Tarabo area under Rupganj Upazila in Narayanganj on Saturday night.
The factory, Shikder Apparels, caught fire at about 9:00pm, said Abdullah Al Arefin, a fire service official.
On receiving the news, nine fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and began to work to bring it under control, he said.
The fire could not be brought under control until 10:00pm.
