Two persons were killed and three others were injured in a head-on collision between a truck and an autorickshaw in Raigonj upazila of Sirajganj on Wednesday.
One of the deceased is Manik Halder, 60, while the other has yet to be identified.
The truck collided into the Sirajganj-bound autorickshaw in the Haasil area, leaving two on board the three-wheeler dead on the spot, said Raigonj police station OC Shahidul Islam.
The injured were later rescued and taken to the hospital by locals, added the police officer.
Police have seized the two vehicles but the truck driver and his assistant managed to flee the area.
