A five-day long National Pitha Festival has begun in Rangpur.
State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid inaugurated the festival at the Public Library Ground on Wednesday.
Stalls from 45 districts of the country including Dhaka, Khulna and Mymensingh are taking part in the festival.
Devdas Bhattacharya, deputy inspector general (DIG) of police of Rangpur Range, Asib Ahsan, deputy commissioner, Khandaker Shah Alam, general secretary of National Pitha Festival Celebration Council, and others spoke as special guests at the inauguration program.
