Three men have been arrested for gang-raping a woman inside a microbus in Narsingdi.
Police have identified the arrestees as Mizan Mia, 20, Sohel Mia, 24, and Saiful Islam, 24.
Sadar police OC Sawgatul Alam said the three were arrested from different areas of Narsingdi town on Wednesday after the housewife filed a case against them Tuesday night.
He said the trio men were sent to jail in the afternoon after they gave confessional statements in court.
According to case details, the woman, who is originally from Panchagarh, got acquainted with Mizan over the phone and has been talking to him for a while.
On Tuesday evening, Mizan tricked her and got her to meet him at Narsingdi town’s Bhelanagar area. From there, he took her to Beltola area and got her into a microbus where Sohel and Saiful were already present.
The three then took turns in violating the woman.
Later, the trio left the woman there and fled with the vehicle.
