Police have recovered the body of a teenager from Haridhoya River 10 days after he went missing in Palash, Narsingdi.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Yakub, 13, son of Mohammad Ilyas Mia, of Gojaria union under Palash upazila.
On Saturday morning, locals spotted the teenager's body floating in the river and informed the police.
Later, police recovered his body and sent it to Narsingdi General Hospital.
Earlier, on February 18, Yakub went out of the house to drive an autorickshaw and went missing. Later on the night of February 22, his mother Amena Begum lodged a general diary.
Police said that Yakub was an autorickshaw puller by profession.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Palash police station Mohammad Nasir Uddin said the body was recovered from Haridhoya river and sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
