Police recovered the severed head and hand of an unidentified woman from Adabor in the capital on Saturday.
The body parts were recovered in a sack from the Hakkar Mor area of Adabor-10, said Adabor Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zahidul Islam.
He said police went to the spot after receiving information from locals and recovered the body parts. The woman’s legs have yet to be found.
Her identity could not be immediately ascertained. Police are also yet to determine the motive for the killing or identify those responsible.
Efforts are underway to identify those involved and uncover the circumstances behind the murder, the OC said.
