Police recovered the bodies of two men from separate locations in the Shahbagh area of the capital on Saturday.
The deceased, aged around 65 and 45, are believed to have been homeless. Police suspect they died of illness.
The bodies were recovered from the footpath in front of the main gate of the National Eidgah and from the Kadam Fountain intersection around noon.
Shahbagh Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Taufiq Hasan said police recovered the bodies after receiving information that two men were lying near the Supreme Court and beside the National Eidgah.
The bodies were sent to the Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsies.
A CID forensic team is working to identify the deceased, the officer said.
Locals told police that the two men were of a vagrant nature, and police suspect they died from illness.
