The giraffe gave birth to a female calf on June 13 and a male calf on Saturday, Wildlife Inspector Anisur Rahman told the Dhaka Tribune.
The arrival of the newborns has been a consolation for the partk's officials, who lost two adult giraffes to a disease last month.
The calves appear healthy and are running around all day in the giraffe enclosure. The mother is suckling them from time to time and the park authorities are feeding them other food as well.
The newborns and the mother have been kept under constant supervision of a veterinary doctor and are being provided additional nutritional supplements outside of their regular diet of vegetables, grass and grains, Anisur said.
