A Cox's Bazar court granted a seven-day remand for three members of Armed Police Battalion (APBn) each on Tuesday over their involvement with the killing of retired army officer Sinha Mohammad Rashed Khan.
The court of Cox's Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Tamanna Farah granted the remand for the three after the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) sought a 10-day remand each for quizzing the trio.
The arrestees were APBn Sub-Inspector Shajahan and constables Rajib and Abdullah, RAB Media Wing Chief Lt Col Ashik Billah confirmed Dhaka Tribune.

All of them are from APBn Cox's Bazar-14 and were on-duty at Shamlapur Police Investigation Centre on the night of July 31 when Major (Retd) Sinha was killed at Shamlapur check-post under Baharchhara union in Teknaf.
"We have come a long way in investigating the murder of Sinha. Today (August 18) the accused OC Pradeep Kumar Das, Inspector Liakat Ali and Sub-Inspector Nanda Dulal Rakshit who are on remand, were taken to RAB custody for quizzing," Lt Col Ashik Billah said.
