A woman with respiratory complications has died at Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) in Chittagong.
The 55-year old woman died around 9:30 pm on Tuesday night.
BITID Director Prof Dr MA Hasan Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
He said that the woman was suffering from diabetes and respiratory problems.
Chittagong Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said that the woman was admitted to the Cardiology Department of Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Later, she was shifted to the BITID after her condition deteriorated, the Civil Surgeon added.
