Three people were killed on the spot after being struck by lightning in Gaibandha and Sylhet on Friday.
In Sylhet, two people were killed and two others injured when lightning struck Kunkiri village in Gowainghat upazila.
The deceased Nuramiya, 50, and Moina Miya, 28, were grazing cattle when they were struck.
Two others were admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital after being critically injured, Gowainghat police station OC Abdul Ahad confirmed.
In Gaibandha, a woman was killed and five others injured in lightning strike in Bolram village of Sundarganj upazila.
The deceased was identified as Kabita Rani, 28.
Sonarai union Parishad Chairman Syed Badirul Ahsan Selim said Kabita Rani and 6 others were working at a paddy field when lightning struck, killing her and injuring five others.
One of the injured was admitted to a local hospital while the rest were given primary treatment.
