At least nine people were injured after Dhaka-bound train Bhawal Mail Express hit a truck and a bus on a level crossing in Mymensingh’s Ghunti early morning on Monday.
“On information, Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the scene, removed the truck from the rail crossing and stabilized the situation,” said Mymensingh station superintendent Zahurul Islam.
“The accident happened when the train was about to enter the Ghunti rail crossing,” he added.
The injured were taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, reports our Mymensingh correspondent.
Gateman of the Ghunti Rail Crossing was detained for primary interrogation, said Jamalpur Railway police OC Tapos Pandit.
