On Saturday afternoon, Raudha’s father Dr Mohamed Athif reported her daughter’s diary had gone missing.
Raudha Athif, a Maldivian model was found dead in her dormitory room in Rajshahi on March 29. Initial reports claimed she died by hanging herself, but her father alleged Raudha was murdered.
Dr Athif said: “My daughter had been writing down her daily thoughts and activities on journals since she was six years old. From her dreams to her feelings, she jotted down everything. The diary she was using cannot be found, and not even the police could tell me anything about it. It could hold crucial clues as to who could have been behind her murder”
CID Inspector Asmaul Haque, investigating officer of the case, said the Criminal Investigation Department has seized various items including her laptop and phone, but he said he did not know whether a diary was among them.
Inspector Asmaul said he would be able to tell on Tuesday.

Dr Athif said while reminiscing: “When I was in my final year of medical school, Raudha was six years old. She loved reading my textbooks. Raudha was born to be a doctor.
“My daughter only modelled as a hobby, her ambition was to be a doctor. She had all the aptitude to be a great doctor.”
Her father continued: “Anyone studying to be a doctor would know that it’s wrong to interact with the body of a person who has committed suicide. My daughter’s death was planned.
“I hope the CID will reveal the truth behind this matter.”
The autopsy was performed on Monday afternoon, after which the autopsy team said the body was slightly decomposed.
Dr Amirul Chowdhury, one of the members of the forensic team, said: “We will go over the viscera report which is being sent from Dhaka. Until we get that report, we cannot comment on our findings.”
When questioned about the neck and the ligature marks, Dr Amirul said the neck appeared to be more decomposed than other parts of the body.”
