Police have arrested a total of 45 Rohingyas from Sonaichhari union under Sitakunda upazila in Chittagong.
They were all arrested in the early hours of Wednesday.
Sitakunda police said all the arrestees are male, between 18 to 25 years of age. They were arrested for intruding into Bangladesh from Maungdaw in Myanmar.
Shamim Sheikh, officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Sitakunda police station, confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said a case was filed against the arrested Rohingyas under the Foreigners Act, and they will be produced before the court on Wednesday.
