Eight people were killed in separate road accidents in Dhamrai, on the outskirts of Dhaka, Comilla and Barisal on Wednesday.
In Comilla, three persons were killed when a Chittagong-bound truck carrying them and their cattle overturned and fell into a roadside ditch beside the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway on Wednesday.
The accident took place near Chiara area in Chouddagram upazila around 6am, said Miah Bazar highway police outpost in-charge Abul Kalam.
The deceased were identified as Khokon Miah, 40, Samiul Islam, 45, and Anwar Hossain, 42. All were from Jhenaidah.
At least six cows were also killed in the accident.

Police later recovered the injured as well as the truck from the area, he added.
