The gas supply to Bogra and Rajshahi, Sirajganj’s Baghbari, and Pabna’s Ishwardi will be cut off from Thursday at midnight to Friday at midnight.
Paschimanchal Gas Company Limited (PGCL) Deputy Manager (sales) Anup Kumar Roy said in a statement on Thursday that the supply has been cut off for maintenance.
The statement said that technical work, including tying in a 30-inch base line at the western end of Bangabandhu Bridge, will be completed.
This has sent locals into a panic. Hotels, restaurants, and factories in the area are expected to incur huge losses during the 24-hour period.
