On Sunday, a woman was reportedly strangled to death for dowry in College Para area of Kurigram Sadar.
The deceased was identified as Arifa Akhter, 20, daughter of Alam Mia.
Arifa’s mother Kahinur Begum filed a murder case with Kurigram Sadar police station against five people including Arifa’s husband Arif Mia.
Kurigram Sadar police station OC Mahfuzur Rahman confirmed the matter.
