President M Abdul Hamid will return home on Sunday after an 11-day visit to London and Germany for a health check-up.
“A VVIP flight (BG 202) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited carrying the president and his entourage members will land at Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport at 10:15am on Sunday,” president’s Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad told BSS on Saturday noon.
The head of the state went to London on May 15 on an 11-day medical trip where he had health check-up at Bupa Cromwell Hospital and treatment of the eyes at the Moorfields Eye Hospital. He also had another medical check-up at Frankfurt in Germany.
The deputy press secretary said the president will leave London's Heathrow Airport for Dhaka at 6:20pm.
Bangladesh high commissioner to the United Kingdom and senior officials will see him off at the airport.
Abdul Hamid has been suffering from glaucoma for a long time.
