Temperature likely to rise by 2-5°C after Fani

Cyclone Fani hit Bangladesh Saturday morning

Update : 05 May 2019, 05:09 PM

Although rain influenced by Cyclone Fani has brought some sense of relief to the people, the increasing heat of the scorching sun has already been felt on Sunday.

The temperature during day time across the country may rise by 2-5°C while that of night by 1-3°C, said a Met office bulletin on Sunday, reports UNB.

The cyclonic storm Fani over Faridpur-Dhaka region and adjoining areas had moved north northeastwards further and gradually weakened into a land deep depression first and then into a depression.

It weakened further into a well-marked low pressure and later became insignificant.

Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. Weather may mostly remain dry with partly cloudy sky in other parts across the country temporarily.

Cyclone Fani hit Bangladesh on Saturday morning, damaging a significant number of houses and cropland as it swept through the north-western part of the country after making landfall in Odisha, India.
