Police have arrested the bus driver of Ikram Paribahan accused over the death of two college students in Gazipur.
The accused driver Md Mostafa Hossain, 37, was arrested from the Shambhuganj bridge area in Mymensingh town, on Monday night.
Detective Branch (DB) of Gazipur Metropolitan Police detained the suspect and later handed him over to the Gazipur Sadar police station on Tuesday.
Two first-year college students died in a road collision on the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway in Salna, on March 23.
The motorcycle carrying the two was rear-ended by a passenger bus and left them dead on the spot.
The deceased Jumman Hossain Nasir, 19 and Robin, 22, were first-year college students at Lincoln School and College.
Police seized the bus from the Netrokona inter-district bus terminal, but failed to arrest the driver.
