Students have blocked the Jessore-Benapole highway to press home their 7-point demand for safer roads after a female school student lost her leg in a road accident in Jessore on March 20.
The student came up with their demands at Satpura intersection in Jessore-Benapole highway around 8am on Saturday.

Later the students returned to classes around 10am after getting confirmation of their demands to be met by the Sharsha upazila administration .
Earlier on March 20, sixth graders Nipa, Rina, and Saleha—13-year-old students of Buruj Bagan High School—were injured after a pick-up van of Palli Bidyut Samity rammed into their school van on Jessore-Benapole Highway, severing off Nipa’s leg.
