Students of Government Brajalal College in Khulna took to streets on Thursday, demanding uninterrupted supply of drinkable water and persistent housing issues they have been facing for a while.
The demonstrating students blockaded Jessore-Khulna Highway in the morning for an hour to press home their demands.
According to the agitated students, the college dorms do not have supply of drinkable water for a while and the authorities have not interest to change the damaged beds in the dorm.
The students eventually withdrew the siege after K M Alamgir Hossain, principal of the institution, assured the pupils that the authorities will do everything they can meet their demands.
