Train communications on Dhaka-Mymensingh route resumed after a suspension of six hours following derailment of a Dhaka-bound train near Joydebpur area in Gazipur.
“Rail links resumed around 2:15pm Friday,” Joydebpur Rail Station Master Shahidul Islam said told the Dhaka Tribune.
Earlier the front wheel of Jamuna Express’s last compartment veered off the railway track around 7am, halting the train communication on the route.
Nine trains got stranded due to the derailment.
