At least two children have been killed and three other people have been injured in a gas pipeline explosion in the Aman Bazaar area of Hathazari upazila in Chittagong district.
Razia Sultana, 11, and Samin, 3, died while undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) on Thursday.
CMCH Burn Unit Assistant Registrar Dr Narayan Dhar confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said the injured– Samin’s mother Sonia Akhter, 25, her son Mim, 1, and their neighbour Ruby Akhter, 15–are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The gas pipeline of Sonia’s house exploded around 6:30pm on Wednesday.
