10 more districts get new DCs

The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Thursday

The government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DC) in 10 districts in another major reshuffle in the field-level administration.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Thursday, reports UNB.

According to the gazette, Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Director Atul Sarker  has been made deputy commissioner of Joypurhat, while Sebastin Rema, private secretary to Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister, the DC of Gaibandha, and Medical Education and Family Welfare Division Deputy Secretary Sabina Yesmin the DC of Panchagarh.

Furthermore, Expatriates' Welfare and Oversees Employment Ministry Deputy Secretary Kazi Abed Hussain has been was appointed as the Thakurgaon DC, while Road Transport and Bridges Division Deputy Secretary Md Matiul Islam Chowdhury has been made the DC of Patuakhali. Local Government Division Deputy Secretary Dr KM Kamruzzaman Selim has been appointed as the DC of Chandpur, Md MahmudulAlam, (attached to Local Government Division) the DC of Dinajpur, Md Ataul Gani (attached to PMO) the DC of Meherpur, Public Administration Ministry Deputy Secretary M Kazi Emdadul Islam the DC of Kurigram, and Land Ministry Private Secretary Mohammad Jakir Hossain the DC of Sylhet.

Earlier, the government appointed new deputy commissioners (DC) to 10 other districts.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification appointing new DCs to Barguna, Pirojpur, Brahmanbaria, Tangail, Narail, Natore, Chuadanga, Magura, Satkhira and Bogra districts on September 23.
