Update : 15 Aug 2018, 01:44 PM

A 15-kilometre-long tailback has been created on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway ahead of Eid-ul-Azha in Daudkandi area, reports UNB. It is causing untold suffering to hundreds of passengers.

The tailback, which started on Wednesday morning, was seen stretching from the Meghna-Gumti Bridge toll plaza to Iliatganj in Daudkandi upazila; the blockage is due to a large number of vehicles on the road, said Nazrul Islam, superintendent of Comilla police.

Earlier on Tuesday, a section of garment workers put up a barricade near the Meghna Bridge, at Munshiganj point, disrupting traffic.
