Police have recovered 950 rounds of rifle bullets and four magazines from Munshi Sadar upazila.
The municipality workers on Friday found the ammunition while cleaning a drain at the upazila’s Kotgao area.
Munshiganj Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) (investigation) Gazi Salahuddin said; “The workers informed the police about the magazines and bullets which were kept inside a sack. Later, police went to the scene and recovered the ammunition.”
“Initially, we are assuming that these ammunition are from the Liberation War period,” said OC Salahuddin.
