A man has been killed in a road accident in front of the Rampal Thermal Power Plant project site—on the Khulna-Mongla Highway.
Bagerhat Fire Service and Civil Defense Assistant Deputy Director Masud Sardar confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune, saying: “The mishap occurred as a microbus collided head-on into a truck at Zero Point, Bagerhat in the early hours of Thursday.
“A microbus passenger named Mokarram, 40, died on the scene, and three others were injured. On a tip off, two units of the fire services of Bagerhat and Mongla Industrial Zone rescued the injured passengers and took them to Khulna Medical College Hospital.”
He added that the condition of the injured passengers is critical, and the deceased victim hailed from Faridpur district.
